Spend time discovering Kigali and its remarkable story of resilience, including a thoughtful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Later, explore the city’s galleries and neighbourhoods or simply slow down at the hotel before dinner and an early night ahead of the journey north.

Moving through bamboo forest and dense vegetation, the trek unfolds at the pace of the forest. When the gorillas are found, time is spent quietly observing these remarkable animals in their natural habitat. Beyond the trek, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund for a deeper look at gorilla conservation and the ongoing work protecting Rwanda’s mountain gorillas and their habitat.
